Cooking for One During Treatment

Batch, freeze and portion so future you does not have to cook.

Cooking for yourself when you feel unwell is one of the hardest parts of treatment. The trick is to cook when you feel good and eat when you do not.

On a good day, make a double batch of soup and freeze it in single portions. Roast a tray of vegetables. Cook a pot of grains.

Buy the shortcuts without guilt: pre-cut vegetables, rotisserie chicken, canned beans, frozen fish. There is no prize for doing it the hard way.

Label everything with the date and what it is. When you are tired and nauseated, a mystery container is a container you will not eat.
